Medieval Brilliance and Island Palace: Innsbruck, Chiemsee and Rothenburg

Dear Pre-School Class:

My dad’s took me back to Austria. We rode a double decker bus across some high mountain passes of the Alps on the way. It was a long way down.

In Innsbruck we took a gondola that started underground and went up to an Alpine zoo.

We saw bighorn sheep, bears that came right up to the glass and fed the goats.

At the restaurant in Innsbrook I watched a musician make sounds out of an alpenhorn, which was really neat.

Next, we took a boat out to a palace on an island to see the Herrenchiemsee Palace. The gardens had tall water fountains that you could get sprayed from.

After seeing this place filled with gold rooms we took a horse carriage back. The horses went clippity-clap.

We then headed to Rothenburg and walked the town’s medieval walls. We looked out above the town from high and saw the medieval city below.

The best part was they had these huge playgrounds outside the city’s walls. Next we go to Berlin and Gottingen.
